The Student Manager

March Madness is upon us and it's time for The Student Manager Series!  Kicking off my favorite time of the year is sophomore Ryan McMullen who is currently one of the student managers at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Download and listen to how this East Coast kid knew exactly what he wanted out of high school and how's he balancing being a student and part of the men's basketball team.  Ryan is a journalism major and is a college basketball "junkie".  He started @NCAAHoopsNow on Instagram when he was 13 years old!  How will the Warriors do in the Big East Tournament and will Shaka Smart have them dancing in the NCAA Tournament?

Students and parents do NOT want to miss this episode!  Covid has been around for two years and has had impact with high school and college students and their mental health.  Our guest Dr. Melinda Macht-Greenberg has been an educational consultant and clinical psychologist for over 22 years in Massachusetts.  She also is a field placement coordinator and advisor at Tufts University.  She shares her experience with helping students and parents with the lack of motivation and depression.  She gives recommendations on what to do and how to help if your friend or child has anxiety, isolation and depression.  She discusses social media FOMO and suicide.  Bottom line, I recruited this guest to help students and parents who perhaps is experiencing mental health challenges!

It's Christmas Break for college students and one thing for students and parents to think about is a One Stop College.  What is a One Stop College?  It's a college that you can get to with a direct flight.  There's not a connecting flight which minimizes flight delays, missed and cancelled flights during throughout the school year, including the holiday breaks.  Download and listen to this quick episode on One Stop Colleges.  Find out what airports are close to One Stop Colleges and some schools that are Two Stop Colleges.
